This and That
Why on earth do I have the most wonderful blog material running through my mind at the oddest moments and then have trouble putting them down. After reading the various blogs I enjoy and seeing the wonderful ways other members express themselves I get a mental block. Who wants to read my ramblings through my everday life. BUT I do have some lovely events to record so here are this weeks really good ones. The first was watching Julie and Julia. What a great movie - you should know from a previous blog of mine that I do not enjoy cooking but after watching this movie I felt inspired the two cooks made cooking such an adventure that I thought I might even try that boeuf b...... thingy that looked so great. Aspiring cooks must watch this movie, it's almost a love story of different kind. Well, as I said I felt inspired but after resting for a while decided that a toasted tuna sandwish would make me feel just as good so the boeuf b..... will have to wait until inspiration again kicks in. The next event I really enjoyed was yesterday I had an art lesson with our going to be family Picasso. My great niece invited me to "come play" which was great as you know she has taken some time to warm to me. But I have now become the up/down expert which is great exercise if you are a bit younger but for her.... well I become young enough. Back to the art lesson. Her mom had down some paper mache articles, some more successful than others, and the one was a big egg which we proceeded to paint. Such fun, how I wish my grand daughter was here to join in. Oh well, she's not but I am blessed with my two great nieces. The big egg by the way is a pinjata???? (spelling?) and will be smashed on Easter day to shower our little artist with small gifts she will enjoy. Whether she quite undestood my explanation of what was going to happed to it, I don't know, time will tell but we enjoyed painting it togeter. So bloggers those are the two memorable days I have had this past week. On the 25th I gave thanks for my mothers life. It was the anniversary of her birth and although she has been away now in a better place she is still very much a part of our lives. Love you Mom. God bless all have a Blessed Easter - not too many eggs.

We're having a heatwave!!!!
Ok, ok I know I have been very silent but now I think I could write just a bit about the NOW. Do any of you remember the song "We're having a heatwave, a tropical heatwave"? Well that's what I believe we've been experiencing. But I remember the person singing that song was a sexy looking brunette in a sarong surrounded by tanned hulks. That's not how I've reacted to our recent weather. I sweat, have my clothes stick to me in all the wrong places and constantly have to check that my pants are also just sweating. Yes I am sweating not glowing or any of those wonderful things ladies are supposed to do when they are very hot. The heat has also made me realise that fat people can show of their flabby arms - they might be the only wings I ever own and being seen in a bathing costume by others when doing a whale impression in your own pool is to put it in modern lingo .... COOOL BABY COOOL. On the up side as well I now sport quite a tan - I know the cancer thing and all the sun can do to your skin but at my age the sun long ago did the damage I now see. And I am quite prepared to take what life throws at me. At 71 I just want to cope with this heatwave. So I wear my sarong and my hulk is now bulky but we are happy just being COOL BABY COOL. Love all
